New Alienware Laptop - Hype or good?
http://www.hardwareheaven.com/review...d=924&pageid=1
Obviously, Alienware is popular for its expensive tag, pretty looks, and not-worth-it specs. Most people shrug off the idea of getting an Alienware because of that, and not to mention their usually bigger than necessary.
But this one seems kind of nice this time. Any thoughts on this one? Aside the almost never ending review :P

I looked at these since i was in the market for a new laptop myself. You can build one on Dell.com.
I did not think they were worth the price. By the time I spec'd one out that matched a Sony Vio people we suggesting the laptop was about 3000.00.
The sony wast 1350.00

Well, I thought this one had a semi decent price for an Alienware. And it's not like Alienware are bad, just often overpriced to hell.

my question is why the hell would anyone want to game on an 11 inch screen? I can hardly stand it on a 17" laptop unless I have no other option....

When you compare similarly equipped Dells and Alienwares, the price difference is not that great. You do pay a bit extra for the name and style of the Alienware, but not all that much really, and whether or not it is worth it is up to you.

If you plan on gaming on a laptop, it's throwing money out of the window. For the same price you can get a much better desktop. Most gaming laptop are big and bulky, making the transport even harder.

Totally. 11" is almost a netbook. I mean, who the hell cares how strong it is, if the screen is smaller than the first LCDs few years ago?

Alienware is overpriced garbage.
If you are going to pay that much for a notebook, get one of these.
